One of the most common questions we get is: “How do I choose the right scent?” And honestly—there’s no wrong way to pick. Scent is so personal. What makes one person think of a cozy childhood memory might remind someone else of their favourite holiday. When I chat with customers at markets or online, I always start with the same simple question Do you like fruity, floral, or something completely outside the box?  Well let me tell you what happened.....just a minute...I need a coffee to tell you the complete story... We didn't start off with candles.  We actually started with button badges. I know, we have come along way since then.  The very first time I took them out to sell was at our local market.  I had a card table, a table cloth and around 100 badges to sell.  My badges $4.00  The stall fee was $10. I was put under a tree and no one came to collect my stall fee.  When I grabbed the organiser with my $10 in my hand  she said " don't worry about it Erin. You really didn't take up any space"  I made $48.00 that day.  It was a success. Our first tealight candles were a caramel vanilla scent.  Still one of my favourite scents to this day and still one of our more popular items only as time has gone on we have much better raw ingredients and a much better display - see future blog posts for how we have grown over the years.    ...

Running a handmade business as a mother–daughter team means no two days are ever quite the same—but every Monday , we kick things off with a little ritual we’ve come to love: coffee and planning at 9am sharp . It’s our dedicated meeting time, where we sit down (coffee in hand, of course) and talk through the week ahead. From checking orders to brainstorming new scent blends, no idea is too small (or too wild!) for the table. These meetings have turned into a three coffee meeting at times as we bounce new ideas around and that's ok. We enjoy each others company.
